Rimasta gravemente ferita, Ramona deve prendersi cura dei suoi due figli, un adolescente di 14 anni (Peyton Jackson) e una bambina di 6 anni (Estella Kahiha), nella loro casa di campagna. La routine della famiglia viene interrotta dall’arrivo di una donna misteriosa, completamente vestita di nero, che appare inspiegabilmente nel loro giardino e pronuncia un enigmatico avvertimento: “Oggi è il giorno.” Ramona, inizialmente convinta che la donna (Okwui Okpokwasili) sia solo una persona in difficoltà, scoprirà presto che le sue intenzioni sono tutt’altro che innocue.
